Oriskany Falls United Methodist Church History

The pipe organ intalled at the church around 1912 for $1200 by Pastor L A Griggs, the first pastor to stay at the charge for over 5 years. You can also see the choir loft, which, unfortunately, is no longer used by a choir.

This window is behind the alter and depicts the woman at the well. The story is from the book of John chapter 4 and tells about Jesus' encounter with a Samaritan woman at a well. Oriskany Falls was part of a four parish charge for many years called the Living Waters Parish, and this is from where the name of the parish came.

A closer look at the organ, dual keyboards, numerous stops, a small keyboard on the lower right for a set of chimes, foot pedals, I don't know how many pipes...
