From the desk of Pastor Jim
We’ve got some exciting news to share with you this week — and it’s a message that’s as relevant today as it was when Peter first shared it on that unforgettable day in Acts 2!
Remember the moment when Peter boldly stood up and declared: “Let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” (Acts 2:36). Talk about a powerful statement! But Peter didn’t stop there. He offered a message of hope and change: “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)
The crowd was amazed, and about 3,000 people said, "Yes!" to this life-changing invitation — talk about a great day for the Kingdom!
So, here’s our call to you today: Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for years or are just beginning to explore, there’s always an opportunity to take a next step. In fact, just like those 3,000, we invite you to join in, celebrate the gift of forgiveness, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit!
And don’t worry — the invitation doesn’t come with any complicated forms or big steps. Just a simple heart to say "Yes" to a life filled with joy, peace, and purpose. The early church didn’t wait for perfection before coming together. They came just as they were, with open hearts, and God did the rest!
If you’re ready to learn more, get baptized, or simply chat about what this all means, we’re here for you! Let’s celebrate the hope we have in Jesus and continue to live out His calling together.
P.S. Did you know that those 3,000 new believers didn’t just get a one-time pep talk? They formed a community — a fellowship that shared everything (Acts 2:42)! That’s the kind of family we want to be — growing together, supporting one another, and making an impact in our community.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s take the next step in this amazing journey with Jesus!
Grace and peace,
