Have you ever climbed to the top of a hill, stood on a scenic overlook, or found the perfect seat just to enjoy the view? We all love a beautiful perspective. Yet Psalm 17 reminds us that the greatest view in life isn't found from a mountaintop—it's found in the presence of God.
David wrote this psalm during a difficult time. He had every reason to be worried, yet he chose to lift his eyes to the One who never changes. He trusted that God heard his prayers, knew his heart, and would faithfully guide him through whatever lay ahead. David concludes with these beautiful words: "As for me, I shall behold your face... I shall be satisfied." What a wonderful reminder that true contentment isn't found in having more—it is found in knowing God more.
Life has a way of filling our calendars, our minds, and sometimes even our worries. We can spend so much time looking at our problems that we forget to look at the One who promises never to leave us. When we turn our attention to Christ, our perspective changes. We discover fresh hope, renewed strength, and joy that doesn't depend on perfect circumstances.
As we move through this month, may we take time each day to pause, pray, and enjoy the best view of all—the faithful presence of our loving God. May His joy fill your heart, His peace guide your steps, and His steadfast love remind you that you are never alone.
Grace and peace,
